We're delighted to share an innovative initiative we've recently implemented in our business. With a constant focus on reducing our environmental footprint, we've rethought how we manage the new sand we use to make our moulds.  πŸŒ

In our case at Loroux-Bottereau, our volume of sand use is not high enough to justify in-house regeneration. As a result, we have adopted an alternative approach by recycling sand clods by crushing them and selling them on to cement works as a material. This process allows us to reclaim sand, which was once considered waste, and give it a useful second life.

It is important to note that our sand has a slight red tinge due to the hardening resin mixed with the sand. In addition, it should be noted that the chemical content of our sand is low, which classifies it as non-hazardous in terms of waste.

We are proud of this initiative, which supports a circular economy. We will continue to explore new ways to optimise our resource management and minimise our environmental impact.
